Our first Matter 2.4 event of the year is complete, but there’s still time to attend Keele or Swansea.
We held our first future technologies show at UCL PEARL, a purpose-built environment created to host experiments in human behaviour. This cavernous 4,000 sq. metre venue can replicate an almost infinite number of different life-sized environments, from a railway station or carriage to a park, high street, or town square.
Professor Nick Tyler, the Director of the UCL Centre for Transport Studies, gave an insightful talk on what the cities of the future will look like and how we can create a sustainable future for both people and the planet.
Our keynote speaker, Sina Kahen, delved into how technology is intrinsically linked to basic human desires and why this impacts future technologies such as AI and wearables. You can catch Sina’s talk at our upcoming events in Keele or Swansea.
Matter 2.4 is delivered through Tech Masterclasses, which allow you to get up close and personal with futurists whose mission is to drive digital transformation. The format of Tech Masterclasses guarantees that you’ll spend time with all our future technology pioneers, and thanks to the unique way we set out the day, we ensure that each one is tailored to your organisation and job role.
The UCL PEARL event was a resounding success, and if you’re still considering attending one of our events this year, check out the positive feedback we received…
“The Tech Masterclasses were brilliant and meant we had a dedicated amount of time with each vendor rather than a free-for-all. I’ve not been to an event like this previously, but I would definitely go again.”
“Excellent event and a refreshing change from the hustle of a trade show. The ability to hear keynote speakers without the crush was great. A well-curated event in an interesting location.”
“The keynote speakers were very good. They were all informative and thought-provoking.”
“There was at least one gem of information I took away from each session, and I saw products and services I hadn’t considered previously.”
Matter brings together the best technology providers from across the globe to spark ideas, create connections and accelerate adoption. These one-of-a-kind events provide you with inspiring content, unique networking opportunities, and insight into future technologies, all under one roof.
These events are for anyone wanting to make a difference through technology, especially those involved in education, local government, healthcare and the wider public sector.
