The Academy’s IT department quickly realised that this provided a great opportunity to upgrade their technology and potentially make long-term savings too. Naturally cautious about making a major new investment, the IT team started by carefully weighing up the pros and cons of replacing their existing projectors with new ones, versus making the switch to interactive digital technology.
Ultimately, they decided that the advantages of using touchscreens would make it worthwhile, with teachers and pupils all set to benefit. Long-term cost and maintenance savings would be an added bonus, as the school’s projectors had required new lamps fitting every year. This would keep the school’s finance team happy too.

With 18 screens in total to install, this investment marked a significant move for the school, not just in terms of money but in the time it took to research and manage. Luckily, we have an ethos very much built on partnership, and were able to rise to the challenge of both supplying and installing all the new equipment.
Dan explained, “The lads at IDNS were just fantastic. They fully prepped each room with cables and sockets before completing the entire installation – all 18 rooms – in one very long day, finally finishing at 22:00. A very impressive commitment to getting the job done!”
Today, this respected secondary school is reaping the rewards of its decision to go with interactive touchscreens over an outdated projector and whiteboard combination.
