We’re very excited to announce that IDNS has been chosen as the sole supplier for LOT 3 – Teaching & Learning Tools – Audio Visual on the Caerphilly County Borough Council / Edtech Hwb 2022/23 for Education and Learning Technology framework.
The result means all 22 Local Education Authorities, and over 1,500 schools across Wales, will be supported with the teaching and learning technology requirements for the 21st-century classroom environment.
The Welsh Government, in collaboration with Welsh local authorities, has delivered several investment initiatives since 2012 to help transform the way digital technology is accessed and used for teaching and learning in schools across Wales.
The investment in the Hwb Programme of work is widely recognised as having a significant impact on the transformation of education services, as well as providing a national platform capable of supporting and delivering real transformation to the education sector.
enFrame
Along with the Caerphilly framework, we’ve also just been announced as an approved supplier on the new enFrame framework in Lot 8 – Audio Visual.
The framework has been created to help schools, academy trusts and the wider public sector buy better, save money and fight climate change. It will enable them to procure a wide range of ICT and technology services in an easy-to-use format.
The framework is underpinned by values to fight climate and a goal of making every school Net-Zero by 2035. We will be supporting schools to achieve this milestone as part of our commitment announced last year to also be Net Zero by 2035.
Supporting families and communities is a big part of our values. Our long-term aim is to put back into society, the environment, and the global economy more than we take out by pioneering technological change, delivering social value and embedding sustainability in everything we do. The enFrame framework is also driven by social value, with two-thirds of its profits committed to a social investment fund, which is used to award grants to projects that fight climate change and enhance young peoples’ life chances.
