We proved it really did Matter!

Aimed at senior figures within the public sector, our first in-person events brought together the biggest technology providers from across the globe to spark ideas, create connections and accelerate digital transformation.

These events, which were focused entirely on future technologies, were hosted in Bolton and Swansea. Future technologies were delivered as 15-minute tech masterclasses. Small groups of delegates were assembled by organisation type, enabling exhibitors to deliver tailored tech masterclasses on:

  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Internet of Things
  • LED Walls
  • VR
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms
  • Cyber Security
  • Immersive Spaces
  • Smart Buildings
  • Interactive Technology
  • Sustainable Device Procurement
  • Technology as a Service

Several keynote speeches were also delivered during the event. Prof. Sarah Jones, Pro Vice-Chancellor at Gloucestershire University, delivered a session on AI, VR, robotics and automation. Jonathan Hinchliffe, Director of Digital Strategy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, talked about their digital strategy and the future of digital hospitals. Prof. Dylan Jones, Deputy Vice-Chancellor from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) spoke about employability skills, and Darren Clayman, our Managing Director, delivered his insight into the future of technology.

“Prof. Sarah Jones was fascinating – her presentation was engaging, and I personally felt as though I learnt a lot about potential uses for AI”. Gareth Tippins, Desktop Architect – SRS

Matter was a truly unforgettable day, where the best technology providers worldwide showcased the impact rapidly advancing technologies are having in the public sector.

Darren Clayman said:

“Prior to doing these events, we were receiving lots of requests from customers who wanted to know what the future holds and the role technology will play over the next five to ten years – Matter went a long way to providing those answers.”

The unanimous feedback from delegates and exhibitors has been so good that we’ll definitely be back for 2024. In the meantime, you can access all the resources from Matter 2023 on our website and register your interest for next year.
